Fans Demand An Apology For Canadian Tennis Player Bianca Andreescu After She Was Called A ‘Drama Queen’

At the Miami Open, Canadian Bianca Andreescu beat German player Angelique Kerber for the second time this week.

Kerber, who is ranked eighth in the world, insulted Andreescu after the German’s loss Saturday night, reportedly telling her “you’re the biggest drama queen ever” as she dismissively shook her hand.

Narcity points out that it is unclear why Kerber made the comments but many people speculate it has to do with Andreescu taking a medical timeout for a shoulder injury several times during the match.

The following day, Kerber turned to Twitter with a change of heart as she congratulated her opponent on a “well deserved win.”

So was Kerber being genuine or was the tweet an attempt by her PR team to avoid any drama?

Others still believe that Kerber owes Andreescu a direct apology for her comments.
