He then revealed that he had started seeing a therapist, which led to some important realizations about himself and his life.

“I had a lot of toxic relationships around me,” Sean explained. “Even the relationship with my mum was getting to a point where we weren’t talking like that. It was just weird because it had never been like that with me and her.”

As Sean discovered, the root of his issues came from within.

“I realized that it all started with me,” he said. “I couldn’t point the finger at anyone else, I had to point it at myself, nurture those relationships that were important to me but most importantly nurture the relationship with myself.”

Going through therapy and getting in touch with himself led to positive changes. Sean said that he started doing more things by himself and for himself, including fun things like skydiving.

“I started getting back to making music and it started being fun again and I’m making the best music of my life,” he added. “It feels good to be back at a higher level.”

He also told his followers dealing with similar issues, “Put the energy back into yourself, be clear about what you want to do and just know that it all translates to happiness.”
