Khloe Kardashian’s response to a hard-working fan has her followers split.

The “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” star replied to a fan who had to work 20 hours just to afford a pair of Kardashian’s Good American denim jeans. This is what Kardashian, 34, told the fan: “Awwwwww this is so cute!!!! I’m so happy you enjoy them.”

Her response had some social media users taking a double take. “Not to sound like a hater but this actually upsets me!” wrote one user. “Someone had to work a stupid amount of hours to afford ONE pair of jeans. A millionaire thinks it’s ‘cute’ that people have to calculate and think how many hours they have to work to afford little things.”

One of Kardashian’s supporters evened out the playing field, accusing detractors of putting words in the reality star’s mouth. “Didn’t see that in there at all, you’re putting words in her mouth and how do you know what she meant?” the fan asked. “Khloe didn’t force the girl to work extra hours or have [the] desire to buy a pair. Many fashion items are even more expensive, its just life.”
