Kendall Jenner’s alleged stalker is behind bars.
According to TMZ, 38-year-old John Ford was taken in by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday for his expired visitor’s visa but upon further investigation, police discovered his criminal history.
Ford, a Canadian, apparently showed up at Jenner’s house numerous times. Last October, he was spotted near her pool before showing up again on her porch. At the time, Ford was charged with eight counts of trespassing after four separate incidents of showing up on her property.
On Friday, Police got a tip about Ford and arrested him outside a hotel in New Mexico.
HSI El Paso special agent, Jack P. Staton told The Blast, “Our special agents acted quickly on this tip to ensure that this obsessive behaviour didn’t escalate to become a tragedy. This timely arrest could very well have prevented a violent crime.”
In a statement, the Kardashian-Jenner family said: “We are extremely appreciative of the hard work by the Los Angeles Police Dept. and ICE, whose swift response and professionalism led to this man’s apprehension. His actions have not only had a severe impact on Kendall’s life but the entire family’s sense of security, causing us to fear for Kendall’s safety as well as our own. Knowing this individual is in custody gives us peace of mind.”
Jenner has also obtained a restraining order against him, keeping him 100 yards away for the next five years.
Ford remains in ICE custody awaiting disposition, facing deportation back to Canada.
