Billie Eilish is having the time of her life as a star.
The 17-year-old singer is on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday, and during her sit-down with the host she talks about meeting some music icons that her parents are fans of, including Dave Grohl and Paul McCartney.
But maybe the biggest musician she met was Sporty Spice, a.k.a. Melanie C from the Spice Girls. Asked if she isn’t too young to have been into the Spice Girls, Eilish reveals that as a child she used to watch “Spice World”, thinking it was a fictional movie about a fictional band.
“I remember seeing the Spice Girls, and I was like, Oh my God, they’re re-enacting the movie!” she recalls.
DeGeneres also asks Eilish about a more serious subject she’s been open about with fans: her Tourette syndrome and the stigma surrounding the condition.
“It’s something I’ve lived with my whole life,” Eilish says. “I just never said anything about it because I didn’t want that to define who I was. I didn’t want to be ‘the artist with Tourette’s.’”
During another part of the interview, DeGeneres mentions that Justin Bieber recently started following Eilish on Instagram, suggesting that the two should meet.
Soon after, a person dressed as Bieber pops out from the side table next to Eilish, giving her a bit of a fright, but even more disappointment that it wasn’t the real Bieber.
Also on the show, Eilish gives a beautiful performance of her hit song “when the party’s over”.
