It’s the end of an era: PewDiePie no longer has the biggest channel on YouTube.

After several months of duking it out for the top spot, the Bollywood trailers and music video channel T-Series has claimed the crown for most subscribers on the platform, the BBC reported.

PewDiePie, whose real name is Felix Kjellberg, marked the occasion by releasing a bombastic music video titled “Congratulations”.

The YouTube star managed to take a few shots at T-Series in the video, singing, “All it took was a massive corporate entity with every song in Bollywood.”

In an interview with BBC News, T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar said, “I am really not bothered about this race. I don’t even know why PewDiePie is taking this so seriously.”

He added, “I have not told my artists to put up supportive messages to boost our followers on our channel. We are not in that game.”

In an odd twist, since the release of the “Congratulations” video, PewDiePie has actually reclaimed the title for most subscribers, beating T-Series out by approximately 20,000 subs.

The channels each have more than 92 million subscribers.
