Three years after the death of her husband Rene Angelil, Celine Dion says she feels “powerful and in charge and grounded and happy.”
Appearing on “Good Morning America”, Dion opened up about life since Angelil passed away in 2016.
“You cannot stop living,” she said. “Go forward. And today’s the first day of the beginning of my life; because I know that, I don’t have to worry.”

The Canadian superstar also reflected on her three children with Angelil.
“The kids are growing, and I see them. And I look at them and I’m like, ‘Wow … we’ve done a great job,'” she said, “and I’m so proud.”
Asked whether she is open to finding new love, Dion said, “I am in love. Love is not necessarily to marry again.”
She explained. “When I see a rainbow, when I see a sunset … a beautiful dance number, I laugh, I cry. I’m in love. I go on stage every night because I love what I do,” Dion said. “So I’m very much in love.”
In June, Dion will be ending her long-running residency in Las Vegas, and ahead of that big life change, Dion revealed on Tuesday that she is the new global spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris.

In a statement to Elle, Dion said, “I never saw that coming, especially at 51 years old. When you think I’m done, I’m just starting. I am finishing the shows at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. I am releasing a new English album and going on tour. And, my association with L’Oréal Paris is the beginning of a new amazing journey for me.
“I want everyone to feel that they have the right to express themselves. Whether it is through fashion and beauty, by using their voice or through something else that’s important to them…I truly admire what L’Oréal Paris stands for and I’m excited to use my voice to empower everyone to feel beautiful, confident and to learn to embrace themselves.”
