Colton Underwood, star of the most recent season of “The Bachelor”, apparently has a lot to learn about the opposite sex when it comes to a woman’s monthly visitor.
Chatting with the hosts of E! talk show “Ladygang”, reports Women’s Health, the 27-year-old ex-football player was asked if he notices the difference when a woman wears “cute underwear or a period underwear.”
Underwood appeared to be shocked by the question. “There’s a difference?” he proclaimed, leading one of the show’s hosts to explain that women will sometimes wear “special underwear” at that time of the month — and he seemed surprised to learn that underwear is worn more than once.
“You keep ’em around?” he asked. “Go buy new underwear.”
When the hosts pointed out that buying “new underwear” each month is not the most practical solution, he refused to be swayed.
“Throw them away, and go buy new underwear. Throw them away. I as a husband and a boyfriend will go buy you new underwear,” he added.
“That is so gross,” he continued. “So if you s**t your pants, are you just going to wash them? No, you’re throwing them away.”
Underwood’s equation of the menstrual cycle with soiling one’s pants didn’t exactly earn him a lot of goodwill with women on social media, judging by Twitter comments such as these:
