They’re already starred in several TV shows and recently released their first album, and now “Property Brothers”; Drew and Jonathan Scott are taking a stab at conquering their next show-biz challenge: Broadway.
Or at least that’s the premise of this hilarious spoof the brothers just released on YouTube, in which they vie for Broadway stardom by auditioning for such plays as “Les Miserables”; and “Something Rotten”;.
Along the way, the pair are offered advice and encouragement by actual Broadway stars Christian Borle and Brian d’Arcy, as well as comedians J.B. Smoove and Gilbert Gottfried, who suggests the siblings write their own musical (which they think should be called “Bros on Broadway”;).
One teensy problem, however, stands in the way of the duo’s stardom on the Great White Way: they’re pretty awful. After auditioning for magicians Penn & Teller, the usually silent Teller is compelled to speak up in order to say, “Well, that sucked.”;
Of course, the whole thing is just for laughs; as the Scott Brothers proved on their new album “At Home”;, they’re actually great singers — which is not the case in this video:
