“It” fans are seeing double.
The stars of “It: Chapter 2” recently appeared at CinemaCon to share new footage of Pennywise’s terrifying cinematic encore. The sequel takes place 27 years after the most recent film and, thus, Warner Bros. brought out both generations of the Losers’ Club.
Bill Hader stood by Finn Wolfhard, Jessica Chastain was next to Sophia Lillis, James McAvoy and Jaeden Martell were side-by-side, and so on.
The new film footage was only shown to those in attendance at CinemaCon, but online buzz suggests more of the same Pennywise horror.
Wolfhard wanted his character, Ritchie, to be “as funny as he could be because that’s the job in the book,” according to EW senior writer Piya Sinha-Roy. That meant Hader was the right man for the job. “You got me this job!” Hader told Wolfhard.
“It: Chapter Two” premieres Sept. 6.
