Tom Petty lives on in the upcoming documentary “Echo In The Canyon”.
The music legend gave his last interview for the film, reminiscing about the signature sounds of 1960s Southern California.
While the flick’s main focus is the SoCal music scene, filmmakers adjusted the focus to honour the memory of the late Petty.
Along with Petty, “Echo In The Canyon” spotlights the robust music scene when the Byrds, the Beach Boys, Buffalo Springfield, and The Mamas & the Papas took over.
Jackson Browne, Ringo Starr, Brian Wilson, Eric Clapton, Beck, Michelle Phillips, David Crosby, Cat Power, Lou Adler, Stephen Stills and others are also showcased in the doc.
The film premiered at the Film Independent’s 2018 LA Film Festival in September and is planned to be released in June.
