Filmmaker Jo Andres tragically passed away earlier this year at 64, and now her husband Steve Buscemi has spoken publicly in tribute to her.

The actor was at the CinemaCon Big Screen Achievement Awards accepting the Cinema Icon Award on Thursday when he thanked his family, including his late wife, for their support.
“I do want to thank my family that’s been so supportive: my parents, my brothers, also my son, and also my wife, Jo,” Buscemi said, according to Us Weekly.

He continued: “We knew each other going back. You know this business can be a challenge to relationships, but you know you stick it out and there are rewards. And I’m so grateful to her. She was my biggest supporter, and also audience, and my biggest inspiration.”
Buscemi and Andres were married in 1987.
