WrestleMania 35 viewers got a huge surprise Sunday night with the return of the Doctor of Thuganomics, John Cena.
Cena donned his classic getup and interrupted the guitar-playing villain Elias, walking into the ring to roars from the audience before laying down some amazingly cheesy rhymes.

“Silence your cell phone, hold your applause, shut your mouth and no string plucks,” Cena rapped. “Feel like I’m watching one of my movies because this whole damn thing sucks.”
Cena didn’t actually compete in any matches but fans were more than delighted to see him resurrect his old character.

Speaking after his appearance, Cena said, “I wanted to do something that would be a nice surprise and a bit of entertainment in a show that’s filled with the culmination of a lot of stories. The idea came up and I immediately said yes.”
