There are always two sides to every story and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are sharing theirs after drama unfolded between them and his sister, Stephanie.
“It’s been a really hard week for me,” Montag said during an episode of her and Pratt’s podcast “Make Speidi Famous Again”.
“I had a lot of on-‘Hills’ drama with a family member and that was very challenging and heartbreaking. I felt like there were some very below-the-belt, nasty comments that weren’t even true.”
The 32-year-old also mentioned that she had tried to reach out to her sister-in-law before the situation escalated but Stephanie wanted nothing to do with her.
“The next day I was just like, ‘Hey, yeah, let’s give it some time and I’d love to move forward.’ Then the person didn’t even message me and was, like, sub-tweeting me. So, it was like, ‘You obviously don’t want to make amends because I would’ve wrote back,’” Montag concluded.
Things were looking up for the “Hills: New Beginnings” siblings. Stephanie Pratt and her brother Spencer seemed to have made amends, but the peace didn’t last long.
“No one knows the real Heidi,” Stephanie shared on iHeartRadio’s “Pratt Cast” episode. “Before ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’, my mom, my brother and I all sat down and we said we will not let this ruin our family again.”
However, things have changed. “I’m done. I don’t care. I’m not protecting them anymore,” she declared.
“I’m not going to pretend that Spencer and Heidi are good people like I was doing for most of the series for my parents. For the s**t they have done to me recently, I’m done. This is why I moved to London. I’m done,” she vented. “They are the most toxic people I’ve ever met. They are Bonnie and Clyde till they die so if they say this sky is black, all of us are morons for saying it’s blue.”
Stephanie says her relationship with Spencer would be “epic” if Heidi wasn’t in the picture.
Co-host Wells Adams asks if she will regret speaking this way about her family but Stephanie insists that it is good to let her feelings out.
“I’m done. I’m done. I’m confident and secure enough in myself to not pussyfoot around them. I’m done. I’m going to expose them for who they are.”
Heidi, who has been married to Spencer since 2008, reportedly doesn’t want him “to have a relationship with anyone but her.
“And you know what? That’s fine. I don’t want a relationship with Spencer anymore. Gunner, I will miss the fact that I’m going to miss out on the cutest, cutest, cutest little boy’s early years but it’s not worth it.
“This is me actually exiting my family. I’ve tried to be nice to her for 10 years because I love my brother,” she said while fighting back tears. “It never changes. They flip the switch on me and I have no idea…None of it makes sense.”
“The Hills: New Beginnings” starts on June 24.
