David Hasselhoff is unleashing a new side of himself with his upcoming album.

The famous “Baywatch” actor is currently working on his 14th studio album and plans to draw from some heavy metal influences. “I’m doing some heavy metal songs on my new album,” Hasselhoff told Zeit. “Why not?”

“I do not have an album title yet, but it should read: ‘Everything is allowed’. I do everything,” he explained. “Because I can. Because I want it.” Hasselhoff, 66, has shared his love for heavy metal in the past, citing bands like Metallica and Iron Maiden as influences.

Hasselhoff last released an album, titled This Time Around, in 2012. He has actually had significant charting success with his musical endeavours abroad. He has three number one albums in Austria, one in Switzerland and a total of eight top-five albums between the two aforementioned countries and Germany.

There is no confirmed release date for Hasselhoff’s new album.
