Royals sources have now spoken about the alleged royal rift between Prince William and Prince Harry.
Harry and Meghan Markle and William and Kate Middleton have now officially parted ways, with them breaking up their “joint court” at Kensington Palace by creating their own offices.
The brothers have long been rumoured to have drifted apart, with it then being confirmed that Harry and Meghan were moving out of the Palace and into Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also launched their own Instagram profile.
One Palace worker told People of William and Harry, “It was only going to work until they married — and it went on a while longer than perhaps was originally thought.
“It’s a shame. There was power in that unity and great strength in the foursome but I see why it is happening.
“There is always that tension: trying to do the PR thing and then realizing that they are just real people. They want their own place and their own things.”
Despite their differences, another insider insisted the brothers would settle any issues eventually: “There is never any doubt that they will be there for each other 100 per cent and support each other when it matters.
“Maybe they’ll come back together a little later. It’s another stage in the growing up. Sometimes you have to break away in order to come back.”
