Jennifer Lopez is not about to let Jose Canseco slander her relationship with Alex Rodriguez.
The “Hustlers” actress dropped by “The Breakfast Club” radio show to chat with hosts Charlamagne the God, DJ Envy, Angela Yee. Retired MLB player Canseco recently accused Rodriguez of cheating on Lopez with Canseco’s ex-wife, but JLo is not interested in what he has to say.
“I mean it doesn’t matter,” Lopez told the show. “I know what the truth is. I know who [Alex Rodriguez] is. He knows who I am. We’re just happy. We’re not gonna let other people come out and tell us what our relationship is. I know what our relationship is.”
Canseco made the cheating allegations on Twitter last month. “Watching ‘World of Dance’ watching JLo text Alex Rodriguez, little does she know that he is cheating on her with my ex-wife Jessica – poor girl, she has no idea who he really is,” Canseco wrote. “I was there a few months back with her when he called her on her phone.”
Lopez, 49, also touched on the backlash over his Motown tribute at the Grammys. “I think it was the right thing to do [the tribute.] It surprised me, but at the same time it didn’t,” JLo said. “Do you back down and let people who are bullying you online not let you do something you want to do? My kids were in the car and they were like ‘why don’t they want you to do it?'”
“I spoke to the producers,” he continued. “I spoke to Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson… Motown music was made for everybody.”
