Julia Roberts is ready for a day of silence.

In support of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network), the actress will participate in a day of no talking to spread awareness about the effects of the bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning students in schools across the globe.

Roberts publicly supported the movement on Instagram, writing, “Nearly 8 in 10 #LGBTQ students experience verbal harassment in schools. Such harassment silences youth, preventing them from thriving in school.”

Joining Roberts in a day of silence are the ladies of “The View”, Jennifer Beals, Kerry Washington and Zoe Saldana.
