I have had the opportunity to meet and interview Colin Farrell a few times in the past and he has always been relaxed, comfortable, forthcoming and genuine so I was excited to sit down with the actor to talk about his new film Dead Man Down with Terrence Howard.

He’s the guy every girl wants to be with and every guy wants to be like. He makes movies the way he wants to make them and he’s pretty darn good at what he does. On Tuesday morning, after screening Colin’s new movie in L.A., I hung out with the Irishman …ok, ok so when I say I “hung out”; I mean I had 3 and a half minutes to chat with him about his new thriller during the junket.

He really is one of the most down to earth, sincere actors you will ever meet, even standing up out of his chair to greet me.  And his co-stars agree! Noomi Rapace, who plays Colin’s love interest in the film told me “I kind of felt, from the first time I met Colin, that we were deeply connected and we could go from being very serious and then burst out laughing.”;

Speaking of his co-stars from the film, we chatted about the first film he made with Terrence Howard, his feelings on the notion “one more chance”; and the homeless friend he made in Toronto a few years ago.  Interestingly enough Colin says that it was the paparazzi who lead him to befriend Dave, who was homeless at the time, and the two have kept in touch since! “We talk I’d say a few times a year, he’s doing brilliantly, he’s clean, straight…five, six years now.”;

I could have talked to him all morning unfortunately my time as a junketeer was up…but hey, I’ll take the 3 and a half minutes with someone that Al Pacino calls “one of the best actors of his generation”; any day!
