Sharp-eyed viewers may have noticed Brie Larson was sporting a sizeable rock on the ring finger of her left hand during her monologue while hosting “Saturday Night Live”; this weekend, and a rep for the Oscar-winning “Room”; star has confirmed that she and longtime beau Alex Greenwald are engaged.
Larson’s rep has confirmed the happy news to ET Canada, while a source tells Us Weekly that Greenwald, 36, proposed to the 26-year-old actress during a trip to Tokyo in March, adding that Larson is keen to start a family right away.
Larson has made no secret of her love for Greenwald, even mentioning him in her Oscar acceptance speech, in which she spoke about her “real partner Alex Greenwald. I love you, the whole thing!”;

The couple, reports “Us Weekly”;, have been dating on and off since 2013. Greenwald is the lead singer for the band Phantom Planet, known for the single “California”; (used as the theme song for Fox teen drama “The O.C.”;).
