Joan Collins is breathing a sigh of relief after fleeing her London home when a fire broke out.
As BBC News reports, the London Fire Brigade was called to a seven-storey building in London’s Belgravia district on Saturday at approximately 4:35 p.m. local time. That building is the home of the 85-year-old “Dynasty” star and husband Percy Gibson.
Approximately 10 firefighters battled the blaze, BBC News adds, eventually bringing the fire under control by 5:35 p.m. Collins was reportedly treated for smoke inhalation.
Collins posted a video on her Instagram page giving a tour through her burned out home.
Describing the incident as “terrifying,” Collins also utilized social media to thank the firefighters, first responders, police and her “hero” husband, who “doused the flames consuming the entire wall with [a] handheld extinguisher.”
She offered special thanks to the “#Ambulance crew who took care our smoke inhalation and comforted me. And the wonderful @metropoliceuk who kept the street closed and everyone safe.”
