Time has released its annual list of the 100 Most Influential People and a famous Canadian actress has made the list.
The publication released six worldwide covers, one of which includes “Killing Eve” and “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Sandra Oh. The other covers feature actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, singer Taylor Swift, television personality Gayle King, politician Nancy Pelosi, and Egyptian soccer player Mohamed Salah.
Prolific television producer Shonda Rhimes penned an essay in honour of Oh. “Sandra Oh is a virtuoso,” reads one quote from Rhimes’ profile on the actress. “Now, the power of her talented presence makes space for others. And that is a gift to every artist of colour who follows in her footsteps.”
“Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot had plenty of praise for WWE superstar-turned-Hollywood megastar Johnson.
“Dwayne is someone who believes the sky is the limit and will go above and beyond to make sure he gives 100 per cent every single day,” Gadot writes. “Whether he is at the gym, working with his charity (the Dwayne Johnson Rock Foundation), being with his family and friends, or working on a new project.”
Other notable names included on this year’s list: Donald Trump, Michelle Obama, Tiger Woods, Regina King, gamer Ninja, Brie Larson, and Mark Zuckerberg. You can see the full list, courtesy of Time.
