Beyonce’s pregnancy with twins Rumi and Sir was not without serious complications.
The “Baby Boy” singer opens up about her emergency C-section in Netflix’s new documentary “Homecoming”. “My body went through more than I knew it could,” Beyonce said.

“I was supposed to do Coachella the year prior but I got pregnant unexpectedly. And it ended up being twins, which was even more of a surprise. In the womb, one of my babies’ hearts paused a few times so I had to get an emergency C-section.”
Beyonce welcomed her second and third children on June 13, 2017, with husband Jay-Z. The couple is also parents to 7-year-old Blue Ivy.
Beyonce announced the release of “Homecoming” and her custom emoji late Tuesday night on Twitter. More than half a million tweets about Beyonce were published in a 12-hour span on Wednesday and an additional 250,000 uses of either “#Homecoming” or “#BeyonceHomecoming” were also generated.
A number of celebrities have tweeted about “Homecoming”, including musicians SZA and Wale.
