Lil Dicky and Justin Bieber are teaming up for a new song.
The rapper and the Canadian singer teased the track on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing the tune — titled “Earth” — and a music video will drop Thursday.
In a short teaser video, celebs, including Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, Halsey, Snoop Dogg, Rita Ora, Katy Perry, Zac Brown, Brendon Urie, Wiz Khalifa, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Hailee Steinfeld, Ed Sheeran, Leonardo DiCaprio, Adam Levine, Sia, John Legend, Backstreet Boys, and more flash across the screen, indicating they will apparently be involved with the new project.
While he didn’t add much context or info about what to expect, Bieber captioned the clip: “Let’s save the Earth.”
Shortly after the announcement, Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun got fans even more hyped when he commented, “People have no idea how insane this is.”
Dicky, who told Ellen DeGeneres he prefers to go by Dave, elaborated on the song and animated video’s premise on Thursday’s episode of “Ellen”.
“It’s literally got 30 of the biggest artists in the world on it and every artist plays a different animal,” he explained. “It’s all about saving the Earth. There’s an environmental crisis going on right now.”
The rapper revealed Bieber plays a baboon, Grande plays a zebra, and Sheeran plays a koala. Dicky also shared a snippet of the music video. “Hi, I’m a baboon,” Bieber sings. “I’m like a man, just less advanced but my anus is huge.”
News of the new single comes just weeks after Bieber took to Instagram to reveal he would be taking a break from making music to focus on himself and his new marriage to Hailey Baldwin (who now goes by Hailey Bieber).
“I’ve toured my whole teenage life and early 20s and I realized, as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that,” Bieber wrote to fans. “You pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour.”

So I read a lot of messages saying you want an album .. I’ve toured my whole teenage life, and early 20s, I realized and as you guys probably saw I was unhappy last tour and I don’t deserve that and you don’t deserve that, you pay money to come and have a lively energetic fun light concert and I was unable emotionally to give you that near the end of the tour. I have been looking, seeking, trial and error as most of us do, I am now very focused on repairing some of the deep rooted issues that I have as most of us have, so that I don’t fall apart, so that I can sustain my marriage and be the father I want to be. Music is very important to me but Nothing comes before my family and my health. I will come with a kick ass album ASAP, my swag is undeniable and my drive is indescribable his love is supernatural his grace is that reliable…. the top is where I reside period whether I make music or not the king said so. 👑 but I will come with a vengeance believe that.. (grammar and punctuation will be terrible pretend it’s a text where u just don’t care).
“Earth” drops at 6 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT Thursday, April 18.
