Mark Hamill and Aubrey Plaza team up in the new reboot of “Child’s Play”.
In the upcoming remake, Plaza stars as a mother who unknowingly gifts her son a possessed toy doll for his birthday. This time out, the iconic demonic doll is voiced by the “Star Wars” star.
Seth Grahame-Smith and David Katzenberg (2017’s “It”) are producing the project, with Norwegian filmmaker Lars Klevberg in the director’s chair.
“’Child’s Play’ was, and is, one of my all-time horror movies and it was one of my introductions to horror,” Klevberg told EW last year of his favourite film. “I got the script [for the remake] and it was really, really good, and I knew it was from the producers from ‘It’, and I jumped in immediately.”
The original horror hit debuted in 1988.
“Child’s Play” hits big screens on June 20; The full length trailer will debut on Thursday.
