The Avengers are assembling once again for a good cause.
Brie Larson, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Karen Gillan and Danai Gurira star with real-life cancer survivors in the powerful Stand Up To Cancer campaign, bringing awareness to the “biggest villain of all” – cancer.
The new campaign hopes all cancer patients will become long-term survivors, with the help of viewers at home.
Marvel exec, Mindy Hamilton, is proud of the “Avengers: Endgame” cast for joining this important cause. “It’s a privilege to team up with Stand Up To Cancer and its longtime supporter, Mastercard, to spotlight the true heroes of our world,” she said in a statement. “On behalf of the entire studio, we deeply admire the courage, strength and empowering Super Hero examples that patients and survivors continue to set. We look forward to the day when there is an end to cancer.”
Earlier this month Larson, Evans, Rudd, Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson joined together for a generous donation of $5 million to children’s hospitals around the world.
“Avengers: Endgame” hit theatres on April 26.
