John Cena is trying to shed his “tough guy” image while guest hosting “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Friday.
The WWE superstar and actor rechristens the show “EllenMania 35” before unveiling a new opening credit sequence which is meant to portray his “softer side”. If you’ve ever wanted to see Cena dancing with a giant teddy bear, this is the show for you.
The 16-time WWE World Champion also nervously interviews his “Blockers” co-star, Leslie Mann, and confesses to getting embarrassed around her and her husband, Judd Apatow, for a very specific reason.
“You and your husband have seen me in some pretty compromising situations,” he explains, before throwing to a picture of him naked on the set of the Apatow-directed “Trainwreck”.
“I didn’t realize that, before seeing John without his clothes on, how a man should look,” Mann says, which gets a big laugh from the audience. “You really work… and my husband just… relaxes more.”
Mann also describes Cena’s butt, which she saw on the set of “Blockers,” as “butt meat… like thick muscle just slammed shut.”
Later in the show, the two friends put on their sumo suits for an intense game of “Su’Move It, Move It” and Cena chats with actress-author Jenna Dewan about her new book Gracefully You: How to Live Your Best Life Every Day.
