Sharon Osbourne opened up about her split from Ozzy Osbourne on “The Talk”; today. The 63-year-old host was back at the talk show host table after taking yesterday off, following the news that her 33-year marriage to the Black Sabbath singer was ending.
Osbourne took the stage to applause, holding a large glass of lemonade in a nod to Beyonce. She openly discussed her decision to end the marriage and kicking Ozzy out of the marital home this weekend. “I’m not going to cry about it, because there’s nothing to cry about,”; Osbourne said on the show.
Osbourne appeared in good spirits, saying, “I’m doing great, I really, really am.”; She went on to thank her fans and co-hosts, “I honestly cannot thank people enough for their backing me, for saying they loved me, for everyone here at my home [on “The Talk”;], supporting me, sending me messages of love. I honestly am empowered and have found this inner strength.”;
While she normally indulges in TV and tabloids, Osbourne admitted she has been avoiding the news and gossip for the past three days. “I know what’s gone on, I don’t need to read about it and see about it because it’s like putting salt in a wound, so I don’t need to,”; she told co-host Julie Chen.
“I honestly – at this point today – have no idea what I’m going to be doing for the rest of my life,”; she said. “I just need time to think… I’ve got to follow my heart, and I don’t even know what my heart’s telling me right. I’m just trying to take it all in, process it, and do it calmly in a timely fashion,”; she said of her future plans, asserting that she made the best decision for herself.
Aisha Tyler, who recently got candid about the end of her own marriage on “The Talk”;, offered support to Osbourne. “This life is yours and you have to live it.”;
