Dave Grohl is spending Easter weekend in his hometown of Seattle, and the Foo Fighters frontman took to the streets with Grammy-winner Brandi Carlile on Saturday to do a little busking at the city’s famed Pike Place Market.
According to the Seattle Times, the singers performed for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, reportedly without saying a single word to the crowd that assembled to watch them play.
Among the songs performed were a cover of The Beatles’ “Let It Be” and the “Foo Fighters” classic “Times Like These”.
It was apparently an impromptu affair; although there was no formal announcement of their plans, Carlile reportedly broadcast the first few minutes of the performance on Facebook, where she later shared video of their busking.
Carlile also took to Instagram to share some photos of herself and Grohl, writing, “Got nostalgic and decided to swing by my old busking spot at Pike Place Market with the twins and Dave Grohl… honestly one of the most surreal moments of my life.”
