Jennifer Lopez is tearfully saying goodbye to a friend.
The star, 49, posted a video on her YouTube channel paying tribute to Versace master tailor Luigi Massi who passed away earlier this month at the age of 56.
Through tears, J.Lo revealed he was in the middle of working on her 2019 Met Gala dress.
“He passed away in the middle of making my Met Ball gown. I was one of the first people that they called cause we had such an amazing time creating looks for me and they know how much I loved him and how much fun we had,” she explained.
While he only spoke Italian, a language the “World Of Dance” judge does not speak, she says they still had a way to understand each other.
Luigi has been behind many of Lopez’s iconic Versace dresses for the past 20 years, including her look at the 2015 Met Gala and the green number she wore to the 2000 Grammy Awards.
This year’s Met Gala theme is Camp: Notes On Fashion, taking place on May 6. Lopez will still wear Versace.
