Sharon Osbourne is not on Kanye West’s gospel train.
The television personality shunned West’s “Church Merch” on Monday’s episode of “The Talk”.
“I don’t like using the term ‘church merch.’ I don’t think the church has anything to do with his merch, and what church, the church of Kanye?” she asked. “It’s the same as his service in Calabasas. It’s for celebrities, so he claims. I do love the music, I must say. It’s all about the music.”
“I do love what he’s doing musically, but I suppose everything he does is a business,” she continued. “The same as his shoes, and his music, he’s making a profit, so he’s a businessman, so that’s what you do.”
Osbourne’s co-host agreed. “I think it’s overpriced,” said Carrie Ann Inaba. “This is ridiculous, he is taking advantage of people.”
Sara Gilbert chimed in, “I just feel like if you want to sell clothes at a certain price, that’s your choice, and someone else can choose to buy them or not.”
West held a special Easter Sunday Service performance at Coachella 2019 that reportedly drew more than 50,000 fans. West sold his “church merch” line at the event.
