New Jersey Police Check In With Wendy Williams Following Anonymous Caller Worried She Was Being ‘Poisoned’

New Jersey police checked in with Wendy Williams after receiving a troubling anonymous call.

In a police report obtained by TMZ, in January an anonymous call came in from someone claiming to work for the talk show host, alleging Williams’ now-estranged husband Kevin Hunter was poisoning her.

The report says two officers went to Williams’ New Jersey estate, but after being greeted by Hunter who was hesitant to let them in, police found Williams sick in bed “with the blanket covering from neck to toe.”

While Hunter refused to leave Williams’ side, police say Williams denied being poisoned while claiming to be recovering from a broken shoulder.

The anonymous call came in during Williams’ time off from “The Wendy Williams Show”.

When an officer asked her if there was any truth to the anonymous tip, the report says Williams responded, “Well, I’m very popular,” before she “became tearful.” She again denied any truth.

Cops left after she said “no” another time.

Just two weeks after returning from hiatus after recovering from her shoulder injury, Williams revealed she was living in a sober facility. Just weeks ago, she filed from divorce from Hunter.
