Madonna’s Madame X persona comes to life in the visually-stunning music video. It takes place in a surreal world where Madame X comes to life. She brings her rebellious spirit, using dance and song, into another dimension.

The seven-time Grammy nominee released the brand new music video on April 24. “Medellin” is the lead single from her upcoming 14th studio album. “Lisbon is where my record was born,” she said in a press release. “I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe.”

The audio for “Medellin” as well as a video snippet for the song’s official visuals were released on April 17. Madonna and Maluma will perform “Medellin” live together for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards on May 1.

Madonna teased a special project under her Madame X alter-ego earlier this month before confirming it was the title of her new album. The “Like a Virgin” icon premiered her “Medellin” music video during a globally televised MTV music event titled, “MTV Presents Madonna Live & Exclusive: ‘Medellin’ Video World Premiere”.
