The cast recently had their final table read as the end of season 12 — and the end of the series — nears. The one-hour special is set to tape on April 30.

“Yea, didn’t sleep,” wrote one of the stars of the show Kaley Cuoco along with an image of the script with the words “End of Series.” Fellow actor Kunal Nayyar shared the same image.

Cuoco, who plays Penny, then shared another photo of herself at the read sobbing. Who could blame her when the last 12 years of her life are wrapping up?

A further post captioned, “Prepare yourselves … for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words ❤️ Our whole universe” with a picture of her script covered in used tissues followed shortly.

Other actors on the show also took to Instagram to share their feelings. Mayim Bialik paid a lovely tribute to Melissa Rauch, and members of the cast and crew also showed off their “Big Bang Theory” class rings.
