After lengthy teasing, Taylor Swift’s much-awaited single is here.
She has been sharing pastel-hued clues on social media and surprised her fans by appearing in front of a Nashville mural on Thursday before the midnight release.
As the countdown continued, Swift dropped in at the NFL Draft with Robin Roberts to chat about her new hit.
“It’s going to be a new song and music video,” Swift revealed. “The song is called ‘ME!’, like, in all caps with an exclamation point, and it’s featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! at the Disco.”

WELL GUYS 4.26 is gonna be here in a few hours and my new song “ME!” featuring the extraordinarily talented and awesome @brendonurie of @panicatthedisco will be out tonight at midnight eastern. In other exciting news, the VIDEO will be out then too and I can’t wait to watch live with you (and answer some questions) as it premieres on @YouTube 🎥Click the link in my bio and I’ll meet you there a little later!! 😺
Swift explained that “ME!” is “about embracing your individuality and really celebrating it and owning it.
“With a pop song, we have the ability to get a melody stuck in people’s heads,” she added. “I just want it to be one that makes them feel better about themselves.”
The pop icon also gave a shout-out to her fans: “Thank you so much for caring about music that I make.
“I’m here tonight and I’m seeing these people who’ve worked their whole lives to achieve their dreams in this city,” Swift said, before turning to Roberts. “[And] you gave me a shot when I was 14 years old, interviewed me when no one else was watching… I’m just very grateful.
“I can’t believe how much they care,” the “Bad Blood” singer continued. “It makes it more fun for me to create music, to create music videos, knowing that they’ll care about little Easter eggs, and you have no idea how much fun that is to make stuff for people who care about it that much. So it’s the fans, they’ve always been there and it’s just gotten more fun as time has passed.”
