Baby Sussex will already be a world traveller before they turn a year old.
Reports from both the Times and Page Six suggest that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are planning a trip to Africa this autumn when the baby is only six months old.
Meghan Markle is due any day now and like their cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, will likely travel with their parents as much as possible.

The Times first reported that the couple would be moving to Africa, only to have the Palace say that the couple are only considering extended stays at this point. The paper has now further discovered that the government has proposed an African tour that will “focus on youth empowerment, education and conservation.”
A source told the paper that “they hope to take the baby with them but will make a decision nearer the time. Potentially, Meghan and the baby could do some, if not all, of the trip.”
The countries that the couple would visit have not been announced but would likely include Commonwealth nations.
There are 19 Commonwealth nations in Africa, including Lesotho (where Prince Harry has his charity Sentebale set up), Botswana (where the couple vacationed in the early days of their relationship), Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, and Zambia.
Queen Elizabeth spent months away from her children on tours upon her coronation. Prince Charles and Diana, Princess of Wales, however, did not want to follow that traditional route. Prince William, at nine months old, accompanied his parents to Australia and New Zealand on a six-week tour.

The children have also joined Prince William and Kate Middleton multiple times. George’s first trip was at eight months old on a 21-day trip during which he was nicknamed the “republican slayer.” In 2016, both Princess Charlotte and Prince George made the trip to Canada.

Baby Sussex’s first trip is reported to be around two weeks in October of this year.
A press officer for the couple told ET Canada that any tour will be announced in the usual way through an official press release closer to the date.
