Sunday night’s episode of “The Simpsons” had America’s favourite cartoon family venture north of the border.

In the episode, Lisa Simpson flees the problematic situation in the U.S. by going to Canada as a political refugee.

At The AV Club, the episode, which featured a satirical take on Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, received a mildly positive review.

Others, though, took issue with the show’s presentation of Newfoundlanders by engaging in a series of “Newfie” jokes involving seal-clubbing.
