The leading actor earned approximately $75 million in backend pay for his work on “Avengers: Infinity War”, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Following the unprecedented success of “Endgame”, Downey Jr. is expected to earn even more than that.

“Infinity War” earned more than $2 billion at the worldwide box office at the conclusion of its then historic run. “Endgame” broke $1.2 billion in its opening weekend. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a cash cow for RDJ. The actor, 54, reportedly earned $5 million for his three days of work on “Spider-Man: Homecoming”.

His fellow “Endgame” star Scarlett Johansson is expected to earn $20 million for her upcoming standalone Black Widow movie. Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are reported to have earned $20 million each for “Infinity War” and “Endgame”.

“Avengers: Endgame” currently boasts a 95 per cent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes amid its record-obliterating opening weekend.
