Julia Roberts wants to see more gender-neutral restrooms in schools.
The “Pretty Woman” actress shared a selfie outside of a bathroom with a sign reading “Gender Neutral Restroom”. “I wish they all said this,” Roberts wrote in the photo’s caption before directing followers to her Instagram Story.
In her story, Roberts credited the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network (GLSEN). “Hi everybody, I want to talk to you about an organization that I feel really strongly about, it’s called GLSEN,” she said. “GLSEN makes schools safe for every student no matter your sexual orientation or gender identity.”
“I’ve donated, I’m asking you to. Click that donation button, every dollar helps,” the Oscar-winning actress continued. “Means a lot. Thanks.”
This is not the first time Roberts, 51, previously partnered with GLSEN in celebration of her 49th birthday. At the time, she encouraged fans to donate $49 to the cause. “It is my pleasure every year to support GLSEN,” Roberts told People in Oct. 2016.
Roberts most recently starred opposite Lucas Hedges in the dramatic film “Ben is Back” and Amazon’s psychological thriller series “Homecoming”.
