He may be taking a break from music himself, but Justin Bieber is still letting his opinion be heard about the evolving industry.
Earlier in the week, the 25-year-old Canadian musician took to his Instagram stories, sharing clips of him listening to Eminem’s song “The Ringer” from his 2018 album Kamikaze.
The album, which was released back in August 2018, was chock full of diss tracks that seemed to target rappers like Lil Xan, Lil Pump, Drake, Machine Gun Kelly and Tyler The Creator.
On Wednesday, Bieber gave Slim Shady a taste of his own medicine, sharing his thoughts on the rapper’s vicious words.
“I just like Em’s flow but don’t like that he’s dissing new rappers, I like the new generation of rap, he just doesn’t understand it,” the “Love Yourself” artist expressed to his millions of followers.
Bieber’s words come just a few months after Eminem name-dropped the singer in his “Kick Off” freestyle, saying, “Justin Bieber in a Catholic school/Selling dust and reefer when your back is to him.”
