One of Canada’s biggest musicians is teaming up with our biggest children’s entertainers.

On Friday, Sharon & Bram released their new recording of “Talk About Peace”, featuring Blue Rodeo frontman Jim Cuddy.

The song is Sharon & Bram’s third in a series of six being released in honour of their 40th anniversary, and will be played live during their current farewell tour.

“We were so thrilled that Jim Cuddy (Blue Rodeo) was game to lend his beautiful voice to this tune,” Sharon said in a statement. “As soon as I walked into the studio and heard him singing, my eyes filled with tears and I got goosebumps because he made a good song even better.”

Cuddy added, “It was a pleasure to work with the talented duo who entertained my children for so many years. Working on a song about peace and kindness feels very timely as well.”

“Talk About Peace” was originally written by Sharon’s late husband and former member of The Travellers, Joe Hampson. The new version features new lyrics by Sharon’s daughter Randi Hampson.
