Lily Collins has started believing in ghosts.
The “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” star spoke with The Guardian about portraying serial killer Ted Bundy’s longtime girlfriend Liz Kendall, revealing that she began being visited by the ghosts of Bundy’s victims in the middle of the night.
“I started being woken up by flashes of images, like the aftermath of a struggle,” Collins said. “I discovered that 3 a.m. is the time when the veil between the realms is the thinnest and one can be visited.”
Collins said she wouldn’t describe the visitations as haunting, though.
“I didn’t feel scared—I felt supported,” she explained. “I felt like people were saying: ‘We’re here listening. We’re here to support. Thank you for telling the story.’”
