Drake returned to the stage of Studio 8H last night for his second time as host of “Saturday Night Live”;, with the show kicking off with a cold open in which New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (Bobby Moynahan) shamelessly lobbies to be Donald Trump’s (Darrell Hammond) veep.
In his monologue, Drake rapped about the vast array of Internet memes that goof on him — and also addressed those dating rumours by welcoming surprise guest Rihanna (but not really):

In his opening sketch, Drake unleashed his goofy side to play the worst rental-car employee ever:
Bobby Moynahan was featured in an “American Ninja Warrior”; spoof, playing a contestant who was embarrassingly out of his league:
Drake unleashed his funkier side in this PBS pledge-break spoof as a ’70s soul singer Dennis Walls, accompanied by his backing singers The Cookies:
Drake also appeared in the latest “Office Boss”; sketch, which looked at Republicans attempting to find another candidate to run against Donald Trump:
Weekend Update boasted the return of Russian immigrant Olya Povlatski (Kate McKinnon) and Jay Pharoah performing his hilariously bang-on impressions of various rappers — until Drake appears to confront him about his less-than-flattering Drake impression:
In the latest edition of “Black Jeopardy”;, Drake played a Toronto dude named Jared who’s completely flummoxed by African-American questions, but managed to throw in a dizzying array of Canadian references that made host Darnell Hayes (Kenan Thompson) question whether “Canada has messed with your blackness.”;
Drake held nothing back in this sketch in which he played a “professional chaperone”; who apparently takes his fashion tips from Hulk Hogan:
Don’t miss host Fred Armisen and musical guest Courtney Barnett on the season finale of “Saturday Night Live”;, airing Saturday, May 21 on Global; you can also watch full episodes and individual sketches online.
