Wu-Tang Clan Honoured With New York City Street Sign

New York is finally paying proper respect to hometown heroes the Wu-Tang Clan.

At a ceremony on Saturday, the city unveiled a brand new street sign designating the corner of Vanderbilt Avenue and Targee Street to Wu-Tang Clan District.

The legendary rap group, who hail from the New York borough of Staten Island, was honoured for their contribution to the community over the decades since they first formed. The borough is also known to fans of the group as Shaolin.

Wu-Tang Clan members Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck and Raekwon were both on hand for the unveiling.

City council members and people from the local community got together on the rainy day to celebrate and dance to the Wu-Tang Clan’s music.
