Carly Rae Jepsen reveals she’s already planning her next album and it will have a ’70s music influence.

“I can’t explain what we’re doing right now, but we’re very much into disco-y things, whatever this next album may or may not turn out to be,” Jepsen told the Vancouver Sun. “But I’m very much referencing ABBA a lot, and the Bee Gees, all of that stuff.”

She continued, “It’s fun to dig into oldies and see what you can celebrate about it, like a good movie or good song – to take your favourite pieces of something and add some new stuff to create something different.”

More recently, the 30-year-old singer has been promoting her Madonna-inspired 2015 album, “EMOTION”;, joining Hedley on their coast-to-coast Canadian Hello World Tour.

ET Canada joined Jepsen exclusively on the first stop on their tour in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she talked about the tour.
