Sinead O’Connor has been found “safe”; and sound, the Wilmette Police Department confirm.
“Sinead O’Connor has been located. She is safe and is no longer listed s a missing/ endangered person,”; the Wilmette Beacon tweeted on Monday afternoon.
Sources told The Beacon that Sinead O’Connor has been staying with friends in Wilmette for several weeks.

According to TMZ, the Irish singer went for a bicycle ride Sunday afternoon at approximately 6 a.m. in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette, and hadn’t been seen since.

Police were called, and officers had reportedly undertaken a search for her, with an alert sent out classifying O’Connor as “missing suicidal.”;

This isn’t the first time that the “Nothing Compares 2 U”; singer has been considered suicidal; last fall, O’Connor was placed in hospital under suicide watch after leaving her family an apparent suicide note.
The Wilmette PD had put out a press release regarding O’Connor’s disappearance, stating: “A caller has expressed concern for her well-being, and no other information is available at this time.”;
