TV icon Henry Winkler drops by Tuesday’s edition of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, where he receives the somewhat dubious honour of being the latest celebrity to be pranked on the show.

During his appearance, the “Barry” star discusses his Emmy-winning role on the HBO comedy, and also opens up about playing Arthur “The Fonz” Fonzarelli on 1970s TV hit “Happy Days” — and reveals that his new show is shot on the former “Happy Days” soundstage.

Chatting about Fonzie, Winkler shares an anecdote about watching a “Happy Days” rerun on TV with his 7-year-old grandson, Ace, when he was just 4. “We were watching television, and he looked at me,” says Winkler, 73. “We watched television, and he looked at me. And he said, ‘Papa, your hair is different.'”

In addition, Winkler dishes about the time he met Kid Cudi on an airplane, and how his children and grandchildren keep him current enough to know who Kid Cudi is.

Winkler then has a special request: to be the subject of the show’s signature prank, with a staffer hiding in a faux table next to his chair jumping out and giving him a scare. Afterwards, Winkler declares that he now feels like he’s officially part of the “Ellen” family. “I am so excited that just happened,” he quips.

In another segment, Winkler tests his geography knowledge by facing off against child geography experts Nate Seltzer, 7, and Landon Gregory, 6, in a game of “Are You Smarter Than Two Kid Geography Experts?”
