Zayn and Zhavia Ward belt out the classic “Aladdin” track “A Whole New World” in a new music video released Thursday.
The pair have put their own spin on the much-loved song ahead of the remake’s release on May 24.
Zayn wanders around dimly-lit streets and empty rooms as he sings along to the lyrics, with Ward, a former contestant on “The Four”, showing off her vocals on top of a roof.
“The selection of artists, producer and tonal direction was critical for the success of updating a classic song like this,” Mitchell Leib, president of Music & Soundtracks for Walt Disney Studios, said in a press release. “Zayn’s vocals are like no other and his artistic imprint immediately brought a contemporary and diverse presence.”
