An Irish elementary school student stayed up way past his bedtime to meet his hero, Mark Hamill.

After waiting nine hours, 8-year-old Shea Healy’s dreams of meeting Luke Skywalker came true, as the actor stopped to meet Shea and his parents and happily posed for photos.
Hamill shared the photo of their meeting on Twitter, adding, “He may be more handsome, but I was easily MUCH taller. #LessHandsomeHamill.”

The family learned of Hamill’s whereabouts from a journalist and spent the day camped out in his hotel lobby, waiting for the star to return from filming in Northern Ireland.

Just because you stay up late to meet a Jedi, doesn’t mean you get to skip school the next day. “It was a struggle for Shea to get up for school [Monday] morning but it was worth it because he is buzzing,”; Shea’s dad Greg told the Irish Examiner.//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js

The young Healey isn’t the only fan Hamill has met with.

Filming on “Star Wars: Episode VIII”; is underway in Ireland, as Hamill and castmembers including Daisy Ridley, were spotted landing at Cork’s airport. Adam Driver, who was in France for the Cannes premiere of his new film “Paterson”;, is also set to film key scenes in Ireland. Rumours are swirling that the Ireland-filmed scenes revolve around Ridley’s character Rey undergoing Jedi training. Jedi temples have been constructed for filming in the southwest part of Ireland.

But don’t expect to get an early looks at the filming. The Irish Aviation Authority has enforced a no-fly zone over the filming area in a bid to stop drone flyovers.
