Lena Dunham is taking a deep dive into how women have been labelled crazy throughout history by the media.
Dunham, 32, discussed her new podcast “The C-Word” — which she co-hosts with curator Alissa Bennett — while visiting “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Wednesday. “We just talk about what it means for them to be considered crazy,” Dunham said.
“We kind of look at their lives again in light of what we discovered about things like feminism,” the “Girls” creator continued. “You know slut-shaming, the use of women as cyphers to explore our cultural pain.”
“The C-Word” will air on the start-up podcast network Luminary. The channel will reportedly also host shows by Trevor Noah, Conan O’Brien and Hannibal Buress.
